Dell XPS 13 9360 Laptop Review

Money. It is amazing what can be accomplished with it. It is a huge tool that can allow you to do basically anything you desire. It is also what drives people to start their very own businesses; the idea of having enough money to become financially free and obtain the freedom to be able to travel the world and do what you want, without being tied to one spot, working a 9-5 job.

To accomplish this goal of financial freedom, many people choose start their own business, which is definitely a great choice. But if you want the ability to travel around, you still won’t be able to because you are still tied down to the location of your business. This is why online business really stands out from all other kinds of business.

Your business is your on your computer, and if your computer is a laptop, you can work on your business where ever and when ever you want. If you want to grow a business on your computer, you definitely need to spend some money on a laptop. Don’t cheap out here, not only are you investing in a laptop, but you are investing in yourself and your business. If you spent nearly $1,000 on a computer, you would want to use it and not feel like you wasted that much money, right?

You also don’t want to spend that kind of money on just a decent laptop, I believe at that price point, you can get something truly incredible, and that is where the Dell XPS 13 9360 comes into play. There are so many things going for it, so I guess a good place to start would be with the specs.

Laptop Performance

This laptops’ power is great in all aspects but one, and this is an important one, the graphics card, and the reason for this is that there is no dedicated graphics card. What is included is a mediocre integrated graphics card, the Intel HD Graphics 620, which is simply not powerful enough and really isn’t that impressive for a $900 laptop, so don’t expect to play Grand Theft Auto V at 1080p and get 60fps.

Other than that, this laptops’ performance is excellent. Starting with the screen, it looks amazing; the colors are very vivid and crisp, InfinityEdge, is a touchscreen and full HD (1080p). The CPU is equally great, the Intel 8th Generation Quad-Core i5, which can handle nearly any task you throw at it. The amount of RAM included, 8gb, should be plenty for a most business tasks.

Another great part of this laptop is the inclusion on a 128 GB SSD. For those of you who don’t know, SSDs (solid state drives) allow you to access your files with ease, and way more efficiently than any HDD could dream, and with 128 GB, you should have a decent amount of space for your business files, and be able to access them in an instant.

The battery life on this thing is really great, coming in at around 10 hours, which should last you the whole day. The camera included is nothing special, but a lot of people have complained about the placement of it, it is located in the bottom left. This can really get in the way for those who use their computer to do a lot of interviews or something along those lines, and can be a major drawback.

I want to briefly mention the keyboard, which has said to be very shallow, but I don’t think so at all, it is very good and functions quite well. Along with that, the track pad is pretty great as well, very smooth and responsive, but I recommend using a mouse, especially if you plan to run a business on it.

As a whole, this laptops’ performance is excellent and would work perfectly for any online business owner.

FeaturesDell XPS 13 9360

  • Killer 1535 802.11ac 2×2 WiFi and Bluetooth Combo.
  • SD card reader (SD, SDHC, SDXC).

  • Thunderbolt 3 port that supports power in / charging, PowerShare, USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps), VGA, HDMI, Ethernet and SB-A via Dell adapter.

  • InfinityEdge display.

There aren’t too many accessories that are absolute necessities for this laptop, but here are some that I would recommend, the first being a carrying case.

If you plan on bringing this with you a lot, you definitely need something to carry it around in, and the one that I recommend the most would be the Tomtoc 360° Protective Laptop Sleeve, which is a really great option because of its sleek design, abundance of additional storage room, retractable handle and most importantly excellent protection.

As stated previously, I highly recommend you use a mouse, not that this track pad is bad, but because of how much more convenient and easy to use they are. If you are good with a track pad / touchscreen and don’t like using a mouse, then don’t get one, but if you are used to using a desktop or have been using a mouse with your old laptop, then I would say you need one.

Any old mouse should plug right in the side, but if you want new one / wireless one, the mouse that I love and highly recommend using is the Harbor Wireless Mouse, which is a great choice for a mouse and for only $10, I think it is hard to pass up.

Last but not least, a product that I would recommend you pick up would be the Dell DA200 Adapter, which is really awesome and allows you to plug the following things into your laptop, while only taking up one USB Type C port.

  • HDMI
  • VGA
  • USB 3.0
  • Gigabit Ethernet

This definitely is not essential, but if you plan on hooking up multiple monitors, connecting to the internet via Ethernet, or just need more USB ports, then this would be an ideal product to consider picking up.
